Bakrie University Encourages a Culture of Student Achievement Through Awarding Day 2025

Jakarta, 18 December 2025 – The Bakrie University Student Affairs Bureau successfully held the 2025 Awarding Day which took place in the Bakrie University Auditorium. This activity is an award event for outstanding students who have demonstrated superior achievements throughout 2025, both in academic and non-academic fields.

Awarding Day is an annual awards agenda at Bakrie University as a form of appreciation for students' dedication and contribution in various competitions and self-development activities at local, national and international levels. Through this activity, Bakrie University emphasizes its commitment to supporting a culture of achievement and sustainable student character development.

In his speech, Prof. Sofia W. Alisjahbana, M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng. as Chancellor of Bakrie University emphasized that Awarding Day has become an important tradition at Bakrie University. According to him, student achievements are not only judged by winning in competitions, but also from the learning process that trains soft skills as the main preparation for facing the world of work. "As many as 92% of companies stated that soft skills are an important factor in the world of work. Therefore, Bakrie University pays serious attention to the training and development of students' soft skills through various student activities," he said.

Prof. Sofia also encourages students to actively build student organizations and activity units with the best motivation. It is hoped that student organizations can become living labs for students to learn leadership, collaboration and real responsibility. Apart from that, students are also encouraged not to hesitate to compete and dare to step up to the international level.

"Don't be afraid to compete. We encourage Bakrie University students to go global and take part in the international arena. Congratulations to the award recipients, you have become an inspiration for other students," he added.


Through Awarding Day 2025, Bakrie University hopes to continue to foster a spirit of achievement, courage to compete, and student character who are ready to face global challenges in the future.
